Hi ,
Happy
Thanksgiving!
I
love this holiday, because it's the one time
during the year when people all over the United
States are present to the spirit of gratitude.
Here
are some of the things I'm grateful for:
-
I am grateful for the gift of music, which
allows me to express myself and to connect
with people all over the world.
-
I am grateful for all of the people (in
other words, you) who have
heard my voice and put wind in my sails,
encouraging me to continue singing, playing,
and writing.
-
I am grateful for my family - amazing people
who inspire me and continue to surprise and
delight me with their love and their wisdom
-
I am grateful for my good health and for the
willingness to take care of my body.
-
I am grateful for my many friends all over
the world who contribute to my life - and
who allow me to contribute to theirs
-
I am grateful for the challenges that I face
in life, for they call me to rise and grow
to meet them.
-
I am grateful for the many teachers I have
had; men and women who have taught me about
music, about life, about love, sharing,
being creative and bold, living my dream...
-
I am grateful for the capacity to be
grateful, which gives me the power to
sometimes literally create from nothing.
-
I am grateful for your listening, your
readership, and your interaction with these
broadcasts.
-
I am grateful for my sister, Jillian, whose
BIRTHDAY it is today. Happy birthday,
Beany! ; )
I
could do this for days, and never run out of
things to be grateful for; it's a practice that
has saved my sanity more than once, and I'm sure
it will again.
What
are you grateful for? I would love it if
you take a few moments to share with me.
In
the meantime, here's a bit of news on the
musical front:
I
helped to write a new song recently called "We
Are The Ones (We've Been Waiting For)". I
love singing it, and have even been singing it
with some wonderful musicians and singers who
have contributed their love and talent to the
music. I can't wait to share it with you!
I
recorded a video playing and singing it by
myself, but technical difficulties kept me from
sharing it with you for this broadcast, so here
are some of the lyrics as a 'teaser'... : )
We are the ones that we've been waiting for
We are the ones who make the change
We are the ones that we've been waiting for
We are the ones who save the day
You've heard it said before, haven't you?
But did you stop and ask yourself what does
it mean?
I cannot tell you; you will only know
When you look inside your heart and describe
the scene
So this is only a suggestion, or maybe a
request
Look inside your heart and find the kernel
of your quest
Wherever you are, I hope you have time this week
to connect with those you love, to share
delicious food and give thanks for all that you
have - especially each other.
I
will be spending time with friends, playing
music, laughing and being grateful for all of
the gifts that we share with one another and
receive from one another on a daily basis.
